Beautiful Day a beautiful morning one to make the heart sing what will the new day offer what will it bring the sun shines reflecting back vibrancy colours abound in this garden of mine I take such pleasure As each new bud opens wide A new flower unfolds No longer does it hide hold out my hand touch the delicate petals breathe in its scent Ah! Pure innocence the perfume of a rose overwhelms my senses other flowers blooming vying for attention each one I visit offering thanks at their altar a pouring of water gentle encouraging word everywhere you look something catches your eye a hint of yellow or the blaring of bright red a flight of dainty blue as a butterfly flits a flash of black in dead leaves a blackbird flicks a whine of wings and the low buzz of bees the tweet of finches sat up in the trees a family of squirrels chase up and over the fence dancing in and out, twisting entwined and tightly interlaced Pure joy to sit and take in The beauty of nature, first class! Come and join me, partake in a glass. 2nd May 2007 By Jayc © 2007 Jayc (All rights reserved) |
