THE NIGHT CHRIST WAS BORN
I am a shepherd gazing at a star
When an angel appeared from afar
Do not be afraid; do not have any fear
I came to tell you of a birth very near
Tonight is born a Savior for you all
In a manger, in Bethlehem, in a stall
We are the three wise men: See that star:
Traveling many miles from a land very far
Carrying precious gifts for the new born king
Over the deserts these gifts we do bring
We were told that a King would be born
In the city of David before the early morn
I am an angel sent to tell the good news
In a town that God prearranged to choose
This little baby is God's only precious son
To save you all, Jesus Christ, His is the one
Born this day, sent to you with God's love
To reign on earth, sent from heaven above
I am a star, shining bright in the night sky
Why am I here: I will now tell you why
Jesus, the Son of God, was born this night
I'll show you the way, before the morning light
To the city of David, a newborn baby you'll see
Lying in a manger. Your Savior he will be
