| A COUNTRY WHITE CHRISTMAS Christmas time in the countryside, Peaceful tidings do abide. In a quaint log cabin to dwell, Oh, gee, that would be swell. Mistletoe hanging dense in the trees, Always an abundance to please. Holly bushes covered in berries, More than enough to trim and embellish. Fresh pinecones cover the ground, Making an appearance without a sound. Fir trees just the right size, To cut down, bring home to surprise. Aromatic greenery on the boughs, With bright red bows to go around. Songs of glad tidings ringing out, As we spread cheer round about. Ole Yeller, warming by the fire, As twinkling lights and comfort transpire. Outside the snow is coming down, Glad we made that trip into town. Candle light puts out a glow, In our cozy room as we watch it snow. Packages wrapped and under the tree, For all the children to look and see. Peep out the window and see the deer. In the edge of the forest, standing with no fear. What a lovely sight for all to see, It's as if he's looking back at me. I love to see Christmas every year, The sights and sounds are already here. The joy of children as they play, Wishing Christmas came everyday. But the most important part to me, Is the Great Old Story of liberty. The freedom that Jesus birth' did bring To all of mankind, Messiah the King.
