MY LITTLE GOLDFISH
I have a little goldfish
Swiming in my pond
I just call him Goldie
And of him I am very fond
I think it is funny
And sometimes I think it is silly
How he swims in circles
Around the water lily
I think he will get dizzy
His mouth is always going
I think he has got wind
For bubbles he is always blowing
I had him in a bowl
But he looked so sad in it
So I dug him a great big pond
And helped little Goldie to flit
He is growing very fat
From his head to his tail
If he eats anymore
He will grow into a whale
He swims around the pond
the same way every day
But yesterday he turned tail
And swam the other way
He smiles up at me
And waves his little fin
If I could do the breaststroke
I surely would jump in
And swim around with Goldie
He is the best pet I could wish
And I love him dearly
