NEW YEAR, NEW BEGINNINGS ! !
The beauty of winter is everywhere,
With snow covered trees galore.
The old year fast slipping away
And will never return again anymore.
We celebrated the Messiah's Birthday
As we do each and every year.
We met with family and loved ones
And we ate and spread Christmas cheer.
2005 was a year we'll never forget,
Tornadoes, hurricanes, snow storms and more.
People's live's left in shambles still,
Many are trying to get it together like before.
For me the year was full of blessings
All my needs were met and more.
I made many new and wonderful friends
My faith grew and I drew closer to the Lord.
The New Year, a New Beginning,
A time to reach out to those who care
Thankful for a chance to renew,
Old friendships and with others share.
Awake each new day with a song
Thanking God for giving you that day.
Enjoying the beauty that belongs,
To all His creatures come what may.
As the winter snow turns into spring,
And tiny buds begin to sprout.
Turn your thoughts to happy things
Enjoying life and give a shout.
Praising God for bountiful blessings,
Watching as the new year grows
No one really knows what is ahead,
Just stay in step, as each day goes.
Alas, I tend to get ahead of things,
Just before midnight on New Years Eve,
Everyone's attention it will bring.
2006 countdown will be received.
Then the NEW YEAR, NEW BEGINNINGS
Will be here for all to take charge.
Start the Year with utter determination,
To make a difference, small or large! !
