HEAVEN IN SIGHT
I sat beside your bed today and looked into your eyes.
I took your hand and said a prayer and sent it to the skies.
I asked the Lord to be with you in these final moments here.
He brought you peace and comfort and took away the fear.
As you relaxed, I saw a Heavenly glow come upon your face.
You had become weary of working through this race.
God has been with you in every step of the way.
He has been preparing that special place where you will stay.
Your life has been a blessing to family and each friend.
Life for you is just beginning and it will never end.
God will send His angels to carry you away.
Only joy is now ahead as there will be no more dismay.
You will be remembered for your loving ways.
You gave to others from your heart through all of your days.
May His blessing rest upon you forevermore.
Look for me one day when I arrive at Heaven's door.
