There is no other place like it,
Somewhere you'll never feel alone
It might be just a house to some,
But to you, it's home sweet home.
For as you enter in that doorway,
Your worries can just cease,
Sit down and rest yourself a while,
And try to be at peace.
There may be things that bother,
For some things can't be undone,
But stop and think about it,
In that home, you're not alone.
So take the chance to speak up,
And share your worldly wows,
For you may be surprised at their reaction,
Once you tell them what you know.
For no man can live forever,
Hidden from outside,
He has to learn to share things,
While on his Earthly ride.
It's your family and friends that listen,
And there's things they may suggest,
That help to lighten up your load,
And put your mind at rest.
You can't do that just anywhere,
For there's many won't condone,
To listen to your worries,
But you can share them in your home.
So next time you reach the doorway,
And are about to get the key,
Take a few seconds to give some thought,
That this is the place for me.
You can walk around a city,
All day and feel alone,
But with just loved ones there beside you,
You can say it's "Home Sweet Home".
