I've been thinking about time,
Thought I'd write my friend a rhyme.
She asked me to you know,
And I just couldn't tell her NO!
Have you ever wondered how it'd be,
If time stood still for you and me?
What in the world would we do,
What would all of that ensue?
You plan to meet a friend for lunch at noon.
Your time was off, you didn't make it that soon.
Because of this you missed your friend,
And an apology you will have to extend.
Time involves the decisions we make.
Are our choices right for now, or a mistake?
If we plan a garden wedding for the 10th of June,
Will it be time for the roses to bloom?
We are born, and we die,
It's all time involved, set in place, from on high.
The beginning of time was eternal you know,
When the Garden of Eden was here below.
It will be eternal again, when God call's our name.
We'll answer that call, either happy ~ or in shame.
Yes my friend, our day's are numbered by our Lord
Time will again stand still, when He says,
"WELCOME ABOARD!"
