MOONBEAMS
Reflections of moonbeams on rippling waters,
Help ease the stress and pain that I feel.
Days of disarray and a sense of no order,
Has taken a toll on me and it’s real.

When will the days be happy again,
When will the confusion and mayhem end?
A once in a lifetime experience it’s plain,
But one day it will be over my friend.

Anguish of leaving it all behind,
Years of memories and treasures.
Pictures of children playing in my mind,
Running and laughing, full of pleasures.

Lord I know change is good at times,
The ways of everyday life can’t remain.
But why does it have to be without rhyme,
Make the puzzle pieces fit again.

I thank you for all that you provide,
For home and that which it needs.
For Your Love and tender care that abides,
And for the beauty of the moonbeams.

Moonbeams leave a reflection in my heart,
That life will continue on as before.
Just a change of scenery to embark,
And lots of adventures ahead in store.

The beauty of the full moon is breath taking,
And so is my journey that’s ahead.
For one day I will leave this world of aching,
From pain and memories I will have fled.

Up where New Life will begin in sight,
Where my faith will be made visible and new.
No longer will I live around sin and strife,
My soul forever will rest with you.

My body that aches from earthly pain,
Will be whole and holy and free,
No longer will my earthly belongings,
Mean anything at all to me.

Thank you Jesus for that assurance,
Of peaceful rest and a mind that’s clear.
My eyes will be focused on You my Lord,
The Light of my total existence, how dear.

Where there is no sun or moon at night,
No need for water, for no one will thirst.
The Son of God will be the Eternal Light,
And all who love Him will escape the curse.

So moonbeams over the sparkling waters,
Shine on for me just a while longer.
Giving me peace and sense of order,
Until I begin to feel myself grow stronger.
