The air was cold and brisk Dot and I were out for a stroll. We had just got past a triste This one deep in our soul.
Our hearts were saddened Because of dear Aunt Jane, She had not long left us, And we still suffered the pain.
But Christmas was in the air, Good tidings we knew we should bring. We set aside our feelings, And mustered up to sing.
Aunt Jane would always go, By our sides every year til now. She was the best of the show. We can still hear her sing somehow.
She had a hearty belt, And would often make us laugh. Each song she truly felt We often thought her daft.
Tonight we feel her love, She always gave to everyone about. She told of an "Old Time Christmas" And tonight we have no doubts.
She told how the babe came, To save the world from all its sin. She said that's when it began, The "Old Time Christmas" started then.
Tonight we sing for Jesus, And also for Aunt Jane. Remembering them both, With glad tidings we bring! !
