| Young and old, strong and brave, No matter the rank, no matter the age. All have honored our country, With their lives and readiness to stage. Every year we have this day, A day to remember and pay respect. To all who went to battle, And on their live's we reflect. Families join together again, To give thanks to God for their courage. Those who survived meet there too, With salutes for all, despite disparage. Little ones are there to watch, Not knowing, one day they may be. The very ones being honored on this day, For upholding strength and liberty. America the home of the brave, Has nurtured so many along, Gave them hope and encouragement, To sing the refrains of this song. So now, as another year passes, And our freedom is still up in arms. Let's lift our voices with the masses, And uphold those who are strong!! Shy Barr May 2006 Philippians 4: 13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. |
