My heart is so very thankful
For the blessings of this year.
God has poured out His love
And kept me very near.
I am so thankful for my heritage
Of being an American since birth.
Even here, life is not perfect
But it is still the best place on earth.
I can worship my Father in Heaven
Without fear of retaliation.
God has brought blessing to America.
May it always be so in our nation.
For family and friends, I am thankful.
He supplies my every need.
May my heart always be thankful
That I have Jesus to intercede.
