WHEN I BECAME A CHRISTIAN
I thought I'd never have another woe,
And that I'd never sin anymore!
I was very misled about those things!
I had no idea what Christianity would bring.
I was walking beside satan back then,
And I didn't know he held me in sin.
I never had any opposition from him
Until our Lord filled me to the brim.
I have learned a lesson or two,
Now I know I can't make it without you.
The carnal man still lives inside,
But with you I want to always abide.
So I read my Bible every day,
And give my testimony along the way.
Letting others know where I stand,
And tell them about the GREAT I AM.
I love to tell how You drew me in,
And how You cleansed my soul of sin.
Never more to be HELD in satan's grip.
Even though I do stumble and slip.
Being a Christian ~ following You
Is the very best that I could do.
My life is hidden with Christ in God
I lift my hands ~ it's You I laud!
Your amazing grace and Your love,
Has paved my way to Heaven above.
If I should die before you come,
I know I will live in my brand new home.
When I became a Christian,
My life eternally changed position.
I moved up to glory's side,
Where You my Lord and God abide.
