WILL YOU BE THERE FOR ME
Lord, when lonliness takes over my life,
Will you be there for me?
When I can't seem to see thru the dark clouds,
Will you be my eyes to see?
When depression and grief get a grip on me,
Lord, oh Lord, will you be there for me?
When my ship is sailing on the stormy seas,
Will you be there for me?
When this body you gave me is racked with pain,
Will you be there for me?
When it comes my time to leave this old world,
Lord, oh Lord, will you be there for me?
Life has it's trials and heartaches too,
Sometimes I don't even know what to do.
So I look up to heaven to my saviour above,
And ask him to keep me in his perfect love.
In his arms he will gently caress me,
And whisper so softly, Child, I will always be there.
I will be there in the lonely times, as dark clouds come your way,
I will be there when depression and grief grips your inner soul.
When your ship is being tossed on the stormy waves,
When the pain is bad and you feel you cannot make it another day,
My precious child, you have nothing to fear,
Look to me, for I will be with you all the way.
