For love to be spread across the land
Joy and peace for every woman and man
Gifts of kindness for those less fortunate
Unselfishly given to fill their wants.
A loving hand reached out to the elderly
Giving of my time to help the lonely
Accepting as my gift, just satisfaction
For doing all I can to be compassionate.
Being thankful for all I possess
Using all that's available and nothing less
To make someone's day a total blessing
Thinking not of PRAISE, but learning a lesson.
Remembering the baby born on Christmas day
Always acknowledging my faith in every way
Never giving in to my daily oppressions
But keeping a positive view of intercessions
All these things I wish for, not too much to ask
But for me and others, it is a pretty huge task
Giving instead of receiving is hard for some
Being on the receiving end is usually more fun
How would it be to try the unusual for a change
Giving all of your being in Jesus name.
Wrappings and trimmings are pretty to see
But it is what's on the inside, that matters to Thee
It still remains my wish, though it's alot to ask
And to me and others, it is a big task,
So Let's all try anyway to do these things
By giving thanks for Jesus and the joy He brings.
