Sittin' here thinking of things,
How I love the smell of Spring.
The warm scented breeze,
Welcome after winters freeze.
It's so easy to try and rush,
The feel of Spring's sweet touch.
Tiny buds will begin to appear,
To welcome in the beauty that's near.
God's refreshing of the earth,
Time of the year for the plants rebirth.
His glorious wonders beyond compare,
His beauties, He does not spare.
But in the natural scheme of things,
We have to wait for plants to green.
The chill in the air still lingers around,
And hues of my lawn are still brown.
But Oh, how I love to think of Spring,
When all the earth does turn green.
Doors and windows I can open wide,
Thank God for the new growth He provides.
So until the dawning of the first Spring day,
I will be content with what winter displays.
Because our Creator gives every season,
My heart will rejoice for that very reason.
