| A sinner out on life's sea, With little hope in sight. Facing life's storms while, Mighty waves toss to either side. His heart aches for relief, But he doesn't understand. That missing puzzle piece, He has left in Jesus hand. He use to live for Jesus, The carnal man turned his head. Now he's heading for destruction, In a shipwreck instead. The Captain of the boat, He has turned away. If only he would hear that voice, That use to be his stay. Why, do we in this life, Think we can make it on our own? With no thought of tomorrow, We just leave well enough alone. We end up wondering why. There is such pain in our homes. God gave us perfect instructions, But some just leave it unknown. When your life has ended, Or he comes back again, I pray you have calmed the sea, And turned to Jesus on your knees. Look up, see the Lighthouse, Shining from shore to shore. Make your peace with Him, To dwell with Him evermore.
