WRITTEN BY SHIRLEY BARR ALL RIGHTS RESERVED "TO A SISTER WHO IS AS CLOSE AS A MOM, LOVE YOU SIS"
I have lots of friends That I talk with every day. But there's not one quite as special in this same way. You see, she's my sister, Frances, A bit older than me She's always been my best friend As good as anyone can be.
We've never really lived close by Since she left home, But we always spend quality time Each week on the phone. We have so much in common Despite the difference in age, She's always there to turn to, When ever I need her aid.
We share what we have Love, humor and problems too She has always been there for me Just like an old shoe. We've never ever had an argument And I think that's rare Our love for each other is awesome And hard to compare.
We use to go on trips At least once or twice a year And I would go there for a visit And she in turn, comes here But time and age is on our trail It's harder to do now And we both miss our times together And all the fun somehow.

She lives a long ways off And the trip tires us both so That we settle now for our weekly talks Rather than to go I miss her lots and wish we could travel still But we'll always have that special bond That will always be so real.
