My life has always been simple, not easy
I have had my share of ups and downs
There have been times I felt all alone
Not one true friend, I could call my own.
God has a plan for all our lives,
We never know what he will provide.
I know he is my friend, I can count on Him,
Other friends were scarce when I needed them.
Life with Jesus, it's a wonderful life,
You can talk with Him about your strife.
He's a good listener, but I want feedback,
I know God's real, to hear Him speak
is another fact.
There are those who will listen to you,
While at the same time, are checking out the view.
Their attention you fail to keep,
They may as well be asleep.
There came a day when someone had a need,
And I replied with a prayer, and meant it sincerely.
She responded, thank you in an email,
Though slow to start, our friendship is swell.
We never go a day, without check to see,
How the other is and compare itineraries.
I have grown to love this friend, like none before,
We have so much fun and we love the Lord.
A beautiful lady, I have made as a friend,
She is my rock, through thick and thin.
Why she chose me is hard to understand,
We have such a connection without demands.
Why choose me from all she knows,
To be that special friend to hold close.
We are kindred spirits, two peas in a pod,
We love to witness and tell about God.
I read many poems about friendship each day,
But there are few that explain, what I need to say.
So today I want this special friend to know,
My heart overflows, with the love she shows.
Everyday little tidbits she will send,
I love each and every one from this friend.
She is very gifted in graphic design,
Always helping my website to look divine.
I gave her a nickname, many call her that,
My Siggy will always be tops and that's a fact.
Her love and understanding makes me glad,
She will always be, the best friend I ever had.
So if you have a friend, that's special in your life,
Thank God above, for sending you her light.
To shine forth upon you day after day,
And she will always be there, in that special way.
Do something nice for your heart friend today,
Send something special from you her way.
This kind of friend is rare indeed,
I'm so blessed she's my friend in fun or need.
