| FLOWER POWER This poem is among the first I ever wrote. I wrote this poem about someone we all know and love. She has been a constant inspiration to me ever since I got my computer. Through her inspiration and with God's help I began to write more and more. So, thus, the poems you see today, on two poem sites. This was the second poem to go on a page at Granny Barrs Prose. After I found this beautiful page, I knew that it was time to put this poem here, and dedicate it to my very first internet friend. My SIS, Ann, her loving name for everyone, sis if you are a lady and bro if you are a man. We are brothers and sisters in Christ. This is for YOU ANN......I love you! ! |
| Flowers are so unpredictable, and most have beauty rare. Coming in the spring, and some come to soon, and dare to offer blooms. ~ ~ ~ The power of a flower is an awesome power indeed,They come when we least expect them and they come in the time of need. ~ ~ ~ |
| Sometimes I compare a flower to friends that are special and kind; They bloom with personality and words that soothe the heart any time. ~ ~ ~ I have a friend like that whose petals are many, and she shares them without any trouble. And always replenishes her blooms that sometimes come back double. ~ ~ ~ She lives so far away, its hard for me to fathom, that I can smell the fragrant blooms that she so freely shares, And always know that when I need her, the power of her flower will always be there. ~ ~ ~ So today I thank my Lord above for giving me such a treasure, A bouquet of flowers that have special powers, To make others happy, even when she's sad. ~ ~ ~ Nature is a wonder and God created it all, And gave the gift of nurturing to my friend With the power of the flowers. ~ ~ ~ Her name is Ann, she means so much to me, And she has helped me to create a bouquet of flowers, That I can always see, And know that Christ has a special plan for me. ~ ~ ~ Written by Shirley Barr January 3, 2004 Proverbs 30:5 ~ Every word of God is pure; he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. |
