| HHAPPY FOURTH OF JULY |
| Before you stretches a large expanse As you look out across the land. You try to imagine or to enhance The scenes beyond where you stand. |
| This country in all its beauty rare Goes on and on, for everyone to share I have friends even across the sea Seeing them face to face is only a remote possibility. |
| Yet I still try to imagine how they live Is it that much different there than here The foods of several menus do apply With some that have been replicated here to try. |
| The way they talk is quite a change to relate And yet you understand very well, "Whats up Mate? By the way the Queens Ship sailed by today, Down the Mersey", as if it were not a big date. |
| There are friends who live way up North, One even past Nova Scotia and there's more One or two in the center of the country Where the Canadian flag waves shore to shore. |
| From the east coast where I am, to the far west Are also two dear friends, oh how I am blessed And all in between here and there are many more Dotted all across the U. S. and abroad are friends, shore to shore. |
| God has blessed us all everyone, with gifts so dear To live in a free country and have freedom here Material possessions are not on my list of gifts But relationships with others that give us such a lift. |
| I've never been abroad, so I cannot fairly say, That we have things much better her in the USA But I do know, that if everyone in the world would put God utmost Our daily routines of living, no matter the place would all be better, coast to coast. |
| Today we celebrate the founding of our great land, And pledge allegience to a flag that proudly waves, Our soldiers down through all history have made us proud Today is their day so raise your voices ever so loud. |
| On this day in 1776 our forefathers decided our fate And put together a document that would begin these United States, I am proud to say that one of the thirteen stars that made up the emblem great Was right here where I was born and raised, and here I continue to stay. |
| So praise them for feats they have accomplished and those who gave their lives Let's be proud to be a part of why our ancestors died. And especially proud of those who continue on no fail God we pray for peace on earth, and save the lost as well. |
