A time to give thanks is every day
But once a year we celebrate, hooray !
Extra day off work, kids out of school
An ancestral event, it is the rule.

The pilgrims came to land at Plymouth Rock
After many long months, arrived in shock
Some were sick, some had died on the way
From diseases they contracted from waste.

They soon made friends with the Indians there
And learned how to raise stock and crops  to share
The Indians taught them everything they knew
And before long the little town grew.

Since those days way back when,
We have excelled and learned so much since then.
We have so much to be thankful for
But most take for granted what we have stored.

We have a system that has been put in place
To provide us our needs and space
The farmer plants and grows our food,
That is sent to be processed for our goods.

The way we travel has so evolved
That no man has to scout  to see whats involved
We can stay at home and still get our needs,
Just pick up the phone and say deliver please.

Provision was made from beginning of time
And our Teacher and Creator is mine.
He has give more than sustaining life on earth
He has sacrificed to give us new birth.

So we don't have to worry and fret for a thing
A plan was laid out for us before life began
The difference we share in our life
Is the advantage of modern times and change.

So be thankful for all that you possess and adore
He stands willing to give us more.
So give Him your love this Thanksgiving day
And always walk in the narrow way.

Give Him the Praise for all he has done
Be honest and true and love everyone
Dedication and pride in being His child
And always be willing to walk that extra mile.

In Thanksgiving to My Savior

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2)Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing. 3) Know ye that the Lord he is God; it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. 4)Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5) For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. AMEN
