MEANING OF FRIENDSHIP

Friends, what a meaningful word,
So many meanings, there are lots to be heard.
There are lots of verbs, have you the time?
Caring, is one, it is the spine.

Here is another, the structure of all mankind,
Being kind to each other, all the time.
A real necessity, needless to say,
No room for complexities, there's an easy way.

It is a simple thing, just to give your heart.
Why does one feel uneasy about being a part?
Sometimes it seems hard to reciprocate,
The bonding of two souls, don't hesitate.

Don't let your fears slow you down,
From forming bonds, with those you've found.
You never know until you try,  there are no promises
Just realize, you have to start the process.

Someone to be there, when you are in need,
Real friends, you can call, to intercede.
Or just someone to listen to you vent.
To stand by you, no matter the event.

So learn to put your trust in someone today,
It feels good to be told, that you are okay.
No man is an island, everyone needs friends,
You always need someone on who you can depend.

I love my friends, too numerous to count,
They keep me covered in prayers to God, they mount.
They are always there, whenever I may call,
And God's mercy and grace, helps us through it all.

So give your friend a big hug today,
Either in person, or through virtual net waves.
It's always good to know that you are loved,
So count your blessings from above.

Caring, loving, helping, laughing, and more
Even crying, sometimes, that's for sure.
And sometimes, it's just knowing they are there,
Always willing, not demanding, just there to share.

Proverbs 18:24 ~  A man that hath friends
must shew, himself friendly;
and there is a friend that sticketh
closer than a brother.
