Evening shadows begin to show As the sinking sun descends so slow Another day has come and is going The ebbing moon is showing.
Days of my youth are waning fast This body is ailing, will it last? Into the days of yester year My mind keeps trying to veer.
Searching for those days so fun Basking in the noonday sun. Without a care to trouble me As light as air, a bird so free.
But, alas I come back to earth Those things will never rebirth So I gear myself and sync my mind To think of more present times.
I finally settle down and drift away To dream and find younger days. The hours of the midnight pass And soon it is dawn at last.
A new beginning has come for me Another day to be happy and free The rising of the morning sun Brings more hope to everyone.
The present day should be my plan To take care of things at hand Witness to all that cross my way And go to that land of unending day!
