Some people go through life
as if they were wishing on a
rainbow, but in reality it is only
a fairytale. When they realize
the time that has passed until
they discover the truth, they begin to relate differently.
Following is a poem written by
two people and this is the result.

Hope you enjoy..........
Racing through my thoughts are traces
Of time used wisely and time wasted.
Things I should have done, but did not,
But what we can't change, is for naught.

~ ~ ~

So I must leave those thoughts behind,
And in the future try to find.
What my Lord would like me to do,
And do it vigorously, anew.

~ ~ ~

Endeavoring to choose with care
Priorities listed for me to share,
Being faithful in my ongoing pursuit
To ask His guidance before I do.

~ ~ ~

For it's for sure if I ask,
He will give me the task,
That He knows that I can do,
And that will please others too.

~ ~ ~

Do not be afraid of mistakes
Consider that is what humans make
Just be and do the best you can
It will fall into place as He planned.

~ ~ ~

Yes, so I must pick up where I left off,
Stop worrying about what I have lost.
Stop dallying around with His time,
And considering that it is mine.

~ ~ ~

Life is short and precious too
A gift of newbirth He has given to you.
Pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ
And for the lost to find a new life.

So they may put their feet on that beautiful shore,
And dwell in the promised land forever more
Where there will be no darkness, only light
And that from the SON, will shine so Bright!

My sweet friend who we all love and appreciate so much, came up with a wonderful idea to write a poem in tandem.  I started with the first verse, and she followed with the second and so on.  We stopped at eight verses, which became a nice ending.  It was a fun experiment and ended up being a blessing for us both.

We wanted to share the poem with you, and hope that you are as blessed reading it, as we were in writing it.
The Title ....Over the Rainbow.....was
my perception of the meaning of the poem, later Siggy will give her perception of the poem on her site.

Psalms 96:1 ~ O sing unto the Lord a new song, sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
