| A PORCH'S VIEW |
| As I sit on this rail here today, Watching the sights that pass my way. I am reminded of family and friends, Of kindness, and caring until the end. Makes me realize how blessed I am, To be loved like this, is grand I sit here and view the roses that bloom, Growing up the trellis, reaching for room. The gentle breeze blows my hat, And brushes my cheek like a gentle pat. The sweet refreshing aromas fill the air, While birds in flight, swoop down, Oh, what a delight ! |
| Sometimes the noise is loud from the street, Horses hoofs clicking along as people meet. Throw up a hand to passers by, Or bow my head in gesture...sigh. What a glorious way to start your day, In the fresh air, on the porch I'd love to stay. Taking in the view from every direction, Gathering pictures in my thoughts with affection. The view from the porch will always be dear, I would be sad, if I ever have to leave here. Always the same and yet different it seems. To be on the porch and absorb all the scenes. What a wonderful place to sit and rest, All my surrounding are nothing but the best. My beautiful home is on display, For others to view each day. I thank my Heavenly Father for all His gifts, Especially, peace of mind that salvation gives. The view from my porch has to be, As near to Heaven, for now, that I can be.
