| They met once a week at the local church hall. Some men who made Door to door calls. They had formed a comittee and paired off in twos, And would walk the neighborhood, Paying their weekly dues. You see their duties were to visit, The sick and shut ins. Too see if assistance was needed, Or money to spend. A very benevolent group of fellows, Proud of their many deeds. They would offer to bring food, Or just whatever the need. One week as they gathered To make out their plans, Brother Jim asked, Have you seen Miss Nann? One inquired, "who is she?" And why the need to go. Well for one thing she lives alone, Her husband has gone home. " I was thinking about her today, And thought we need to call. Just go by, make sure she's OK, Since she's alone and all." So Brother Jim decided, To take his partner and go Up to Miss Nann's house, Just to make sure, you know. As they arrived they saw a dim glow, Coming from her window There sit Miss Nann in her rocker With Bible to show. Brother Jim on the door did knock After a couple of raps, She called out, who is it? It's Brother Jim and my friend, is all fit? We know that you're alone, That your husband passed. She quickly came back, With, "Who told you that?" I'm not alone, there are four, Here all the time. Brother Jim confused, asked, "You have kin that's come by?" "Oh no, said Miss Nann, No one but you and your friend." "Well how is there four of you?" Brother Jim asked with a grin. Seeming to his friend Miss Nann was mistaken, "Can we come in, And meet who is staying?" Miss Nann came back with a laugh, No need you should already know. If you fellows are living what ya professing, There's no need to show. Anyway it's not seeing that's believing You have to feel it in your heart. When you belong to the Father, You're related to three parts. By now quite amiss About what she was relating, Brother Jim and his friend Turned to go and come again. She called to them, Wait, I need to make this clear for sure My Father is One, His son is two And the Holy Spirit make four. Now the time had come For this committee to be taught, If you are peddling goods, You need to know who bought. Miss Nann related a valuable lesson, That night at her house. She let them know what living for God Was all about!
