| THE HUMAN SIDE |

| My mind is stuck in neutral
writing now seems to be futile The body grows weary and tired maybe a good rest is desired. Our bodies are only shells in which our spirits dwell A temporary resting place until we meet Him face to face. The human side of us tries to keep up with the rush Of humdrum daily tasks I think too much of it we ask. Sometimes the weariness overtakes we feel as though we need a break Even as God created earth and man He rested on the seventh day as planned. If you're feeling down and defeated reach inside and draw from what's needed The miracle of salvation He freely gave So let it sustain you through these days. Jesus is the sweetest name I know and He's just the same as His lovely name That's the reason why I love Him so cause Jesus is the sweetest name I know. Do you ever have the feeling deep down that you're spinning your wheels on sandy ground Then I'm reminded of the enemy that roams to keep us unsettled with fears unknown. So I gather up what strength I can.... keep on getting up until I stand...... Upon that solid rock called Jesus the creator of life, Savior and Keeper. If in your heart those words you believe then you are ready to receive The strength to keep you going still just trust in Him and follow His will. If satan tries to get you down don't let Him turn a smile into a frown Your strength comes from the Lord he has no power as long as you have the sword. © Shirley Barr August 2, 2004 Proverbs 3: 5, 6, 7 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. |
