| THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED |
| Ahead of me there lies a path It's narrow in places, then wide The sunbeams filter down, like a bath Between the obstructions on each side. I've been walking on this journey For many years it seems, There are tempting detours turning To invite me away with other themes. Offers of wealth, and untold fame Trying to pull me aside off the trail. I have to watch my step again and again Because I could falter or fail. A voice that sounds so sweet and true Beckons to me, from within the thicket My mind has to stay alert, and not listen to The promises that are made by the wicked. But the masters voice is so pure and clean There's no mistaking his recognition For all He offers is free, and it can't been seen, Ahead the path narrows and is constricting The brightness of that city is aglow As He leads you toward the end The path that I have followed Will take me straight to Him. How marvelous to know for sure Your destination is impending Kneeling at the feet so pure Oh, what a perfect ending.
