No other book is so famous
And none is held with such awe,
As the history compiled in the annals
Of the Holy Bible,  greatest of them all.

From the beginning of time to the end
God gave instructions for how things would be.
He chose men of old, told where to begin
To record the events that transpired you see.

There were Prophets, He gave the news
Of what was to be and by who.
These men kept records some suffered abuse
So we would always know what is true.

From Adam and Eve, to Noah in the Ark
When He knew that destruction had to come
Told Noah what animals and family to mark
So that the flood would not destroy one.

Noah sent forth the dove to seek out
Dry land and a sign of new life.
And back it came with a twig in its mouth
The new beginning was coming to light.

How marvelous the stories we can read
Between the pages of this great BOOK
It's knowledge and truth is all we need
To know how to live and be good.

It tells how men in evil did live
All about wars that were waged.
Evil Kings who wanted to  kill
So they could control the kingdoms age.

Good Kings would come and try to make right
All that had been desecrated and marred.
It always would eventually fail despite
All that God wanted, and leave many scarred.

But twas the plan of God you see
For events to take place and prophets to tell
The coming of a Messiah would be
And would give men a choice of heaven or hell.

Christ was born as it was foretold of old,
Grew into a man in God's own image
He traveled all over the land good news He told
But soon He would die so all men could envision.

Eternal life He gave to all of mankind,
And the gospel was recorded in the word.
It teaches us how to live and survive,
It's the most awesome story ever heard.

So take this weapon that He calls a sword
Let it go from your head to your heart
It's all about love and living in one accord,
The Greatest Book ever to impart ! !

MATTHEW 6: 33, 34

And Jesus said,  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

MATTHEW 7: 29
For He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
