| WHO WAS THAT MAN? |
| The misty gray skies above; The tell tell signs of love. A small but humble crowd, Mourners covered in shrouds. Who was this man they mourn All humbled down and forlorn, Was he of great distinction here, So many have cried a river of tears. He was hardly known of noble man, And yet he has caused such disarray Have you heard his name, who is he? I heard he was the man from Galilee. Some say he was a stranger who moved from town to town, Talking to crowds of people as they gathered all around. He had those who believed in him and what he was telling. And then there were those who wouldn't buy the goods he was selling. But he was faithful and perservered even unto death He gave his life for all the ones who never would except. This mans name is JESUS, and the mourners need not stay, Because His Father raised Him, to go live with Him always. There are those who still don't believe, Though it's been over 2000 years . The Greatest Story ever told, And there are those who choose to live with their fears. But now they are asking, while in tears, WHO IS THAT MAN ?? Written by Shirley Barr September 5, 2004 All Rights Reserved Hebrews 12: 1 ~ 3 ....Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right had of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. |
