I read all about Gethsemane where Jesus prayed.
He spent that night in the Garden all alone.
He was communing with His Father in Heaven.
It would have been so easy to postpone.
He knew why He had come to earth as a babe.
He lived His natural life until He was thirty three.
He agreed to be the sacrifice for our sins.
He would give His life just to set us free.
We hear all about His crucifixion and the abuse.
We seem to hold so much against the accusers.
But, that was all part of God’s plan of action.
He could have stopped those misusers.
It seems to endear Jesus to us even more
When we realize all that He went through.
He must have felt we were worth it all.
He dearly loved even me and you.
Then, why do we continue to dislike the killers
When they were part of God’s will?
It was our sins that nailed Him to that cross.
This only proves that He loves us still,
One day soon all of our questions will be answered
When we see our Savior face to face.
We can prove now that we love Him
By living each day in His wonderful grace.
