There are many songs in life, Some filled with worry and strife. The kind that bring me down, And turn my smile into a frown. There are those that offer peace, Solace for trials and sweet release. The words penetrate my mind, The notes so sweetly intertwine. The score goes up the scale; And traces the feelings so frail. Life changes with it's rhythm, Morphing into darkened prisms. I cry to Jesus and sing PRAISES; The symphony to Him I am raising. At times I fear He does not hear.... My melodies are falling on deaf ears. How can I go on in this endless tune? When will comfort fill my room? I write the song again and again, Praying that it will not be in vain. Then I remember the healing balm, The tune and words to the right song. Symphony of symphonies do appear, Making music on my listening ears. I raise my voice and thank God, For Jesus Christ whose feet did trod. Up to the cross on Calvary's hill, To give me life; and He lives still! His perfect salvation to me He gave, Healing of my body, mind and trevail. HE offered to me a living sacrifice, HIS SYMPHONY lives within my life. © Shy January 21, 2008 Psalm 28: 7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song I will PRAISE HIM ! |
